In May 2019, AP featured Find’em Scent Safe, a commercial kit described as a way to collect and store a scent sample for a potential missing-person search.
This is a dated product feature, not an independently verified assessment of search effectiveness. The original claims that the kit eliminates contamination, speeds every search or guarantees a correct scent have been removed, along with old prices.
If someone is missing or in danger, contact the appropriate emergency authorities promptly. Do not delay a report while collecting a sample. Follow the responding team's directions about scent items and preserve potential evidence as instructed.
AP needs owner confirmation of any commercial relationship and reliable documentation before making new claims about this product.
